Stage four of the new civil case management system, QCase, is now complete.
QCase is now live across 80 QCAT and Magistrates Courts locations.
Bowen, Childers, Cooktown, Dalby, Emerald, Holland Park, Innisfail, Mareeba, Murgon, Proserpine, Sandgate, Thursday Island, Chinchilla, Clemont, Moranbah, Oakey, St George, Tully and Taroom were rolled out this week.
Any civil matters that were managed as paper files before the rollout will incrementally be transitioned into QCase, beginning with those matters that are listed for hearing in the short term.
QCase began its staged release in Magistrates Courts on 8 April 2024. In the first seven weeks, almost 250 cases were lodged using the portal, with more than 160 documents lodged online.
