Thynne + Macartney’s disputes and insolvency group has welcomed Special Counsel Jos Basson.

Jos brings more than 15 years’ experience advising public and private companies, directors and officers, and insolvency practitioners on resolving complex disputes and managing insolvency challenges.
He joins Thynne + Macartney from a mid-tier commercial law firm and previous roles as in-house counsel and member of the executive management team at a leading receivables management firm.

Jos has appeared in the Supreme Court, District Court, Magistrates Court, Federal Magistrates Court, and Federal Court of Australia, showcasing his litigation expertise and commitment to client advocacy. He is a member of the Australian Restructuring Insolvency and Turnaround Association and Australian Institute of Credit Management.
