The Land Title Practice Manual (Qld) (LTPM) has been updated today, effective 9 December 2024.
Amendments have been made to multiple parts of the LTPM, however practitioners’ attention is drawn to the following changes:
Part 1 – Clarification of requirements for deposit of a Form 20 – Trust Details Form.
Part 9 – Clarifying the practice in relation to the execution of an easement by a minor.
Part 21 – Clarification of requirements for planning body approval for easements and easement plans.
Part 21 – The introduction of a new version of the Form 21Z – Plan Cover Sheet and updated text relating to the completion of Form 21Z and Form 21B – Plan of Survey (Administration Sheet).
Part 45 – Clarification of the requirements for the use of the Form 20 – BCCM Execution with a New CMS.
Part 51 – Introduction of new Form 20 – Responsible Entity Details Form for use when a registered owner is to be recorded on title in the capacity of a Responsible Entity.
Part 59 – Clarification that amendments to a survey plan can only be made by the surveyor.
Part 60 – Clarification of requirements for the deposit of Electronic Grants of Representation issued by the Supreme Court of Queensland.
In conjunction with the above changes, there has been a change to an existing form, as well as the introduction of a new form. These changes include:
- Updated version of Form 21Z – Plan Cover Sheet (Version 3).
- Introduction of a new Form 20 – Responsible Entity Details Form.
Note: The previous version of the Form 21Z (Version 2) will continue to be accepted until further notice.
