Todd Fuller KC will start a five-year term as Queensland’s Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) on Monday, 19 February.
Mr Fuller was appointed Crown Prosecutor in 1989 and has served as full-time Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions since 2016.
He was called to the Bar in 1989 and took silk in 2010.
Mr Fuller has appeared throughout the State, including in the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions Chambers based in Ipswich. He has appeared in significant Supreme Court criminal trials and complex matters before the Court of Appeal.
Mr Fuller has also appeared as leading counsel before the Magistrates, Coroners, Mental Health, Childrens and District courts as well as before the High Court of Australia.
Attorney-General and Minister for Justice Yvette D’Ath said: “Mr Fuller has been employed in various roles by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions since 1989, including exemplary service as Deputy Director.
“I believe he is ideally suited to serve as Director and wish him well in his new role.”
