Cairns will roll out the red carpet at a networking opportunity for future lawyers this weekend.
The Cairns James Cook University Law Society, Inter Alia, will join with the Far North Queensland Law Association (FNQLA) to present the Annual Inter Alia Ball on Saturday, 17 August.
Inter-Alia Law Society Vice President Aryan Nair said student volunteers were working on glamorous finishing touches for the event to be held at the Benson Hotel.
“The annual ball is more than just a celebration; it’s a vital networking opportunity that provides FNQ university students with invaluable network-building experiences,” Aryan said.
“It also allows our esteemed professional attendees to meet and build relationships with the next generation poised to enter the fields of law, business, and governance.
“We are thrilled to bring a touch of Hollywood to this year’s event, ensuring a memorable night for all involved.”
FNQLA President Jerry Tucker said the association was honoured to support the event.
“This event is a testament to the strength and vibrancy of our legal community in Cairns, providing an essential platform for future legal practitioners to connect with experienced members of the judiciary and legal profession,” Jerry said.

The event will begin at 6pm, and include live music, prizes and a grazing table. Tickets are available here.
