Solicitor

Permanent Full-Time | North Australian Aboriginal Family Legal Service | Darwin | Applications Close suitable applicants are obtained

We have vacancies in our Darwin Office for Solicitors from entry level to highly experienced. These important roles will build on our existing capacity to travel and assist clients in communities across the Top End. Experience in working with Aboriginal clients will be highly valued, as will an understanding of the complex legal needs of people living in remote communities in the NT. Travel by road and or light aircraft to remote Aboriginal Communities, up to two trips per month for 2-5 days, to undertake cultural education and support the work of the organisation. You will possess a current ‘C’ Class driver’s licence and be eligible to obtain a clear Police Check and Working with Children Clearance should you be successful in being appointed in this role.

Commercial Lawyer

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic lawyer on a full time basis in our Toowoomba office. We are a well-known and long established firm servicing Toowoomba and South West regional Queensland. The ideal candidate will have experience in any of the following areas: Commercial, Trusts, Property Law, Estate Planning or Estate Administration, ideally with 3-5 years Post Admission Experience however junior practitioners are also encouraged to apply.

Volunteer Solicitor

Part Time Contract | 6 months PAE | Pine Rivers Community Legal Service | Strathpine | Applications Close 31st January

Pine Rivers Community Legal Service (PRCLS), part of Encircle Community Services Ltd, seeks Volunteer Solicitors to provide generalist legal advice at the after-hours walk-in clinic, operating weekly on Thursdays, at Strathpine. This service, running for almost 40 years, delivers accessible legal assistance in a welcoming environment, empowering individuals and families while fostering community connections.

Volunteers must have a minimum of six (6) months PAE and experience in any of the following areas: Civil (QCAT), Criminal, Family and Domestic and Family Violence. The role offers flexible scheduling, opportunities to broaden professional networks, and the chance to make a meaningful impact in the community.
